What Is Botox?
Botulinum toxin is a toxin derived from clostridium bacteria. It was first used in the treatment of strabismus and later found a very rapid use in cosmetology.
Aging and our mimic muscles cause unwanted signs of aging and wrinkles on our face. Aging cannot be resisted, but the effect of our mimic muscles in this direction can be reduced.
Botulinum toxin is applied intramuscularly to treat static and dynamic wrinkles between eyebrows, forehead and around the eyes. In this way, the muscles weaken and wrinkles are prevented. When used in the proper dosage, it does not affect our laughing function.
When Should Botox Be Applied?
If Botox injection is made before wrinkles appear on our face, these lines do not occur at all and the new lines that do not form disappear. It is routinely recommended for each person to have a botox injection after the age of 30.
How Long Does The Botox Effect Last?
The effect of botox lasts between 4-6 months. Topical anesthetic cream is applied to the area to be applied 15 minutes before the application. In addition, I know that ice application will reduce edema and bruising that may occur, apart from pain. The process is done with very fine needles.
What Should Be Considered During The Process After Botox Application?
There may be redness on the skin that disappears in 4 hours. We start to see its effect in 2-3 days. The final result occurs in 10 days. In the control to be made after 10 days, minor improvements can be made.
